I am not agree with the new formato of the videos. (*.ftv) I think is prefer to maintence the original format, size and quality (*.wmv,asf, mpg, mov)

These guys walk a knife-edge here. It costs a lot to host a popular site and they're always balancing providing a good service against keeping the costs covered. I know that the format they've changed to takes less bandwidth than others - otherwise why would youtube use it? For myself, I'd rather have them change the video format than lose the site because they can't afford to keep it going any more.

Besides which, I see on another thread that they're planning to re-introduce downloads, so let's wait and see.
